The History of the Factory Connection Team 1998-2020

This is a look back at the Factory Connection/Geico Powersports Honda team from its inception in 1998 through its last season in 2020. Launched in 1998 as the Jack In The Box Factory Connection Honda team in support of Mike LaRocco, the team quickly grew into one of the most successful teams on the National Motocross and Supercross circuit. Promoted to Honda’s official 125 support team in 2001, Factory Connection picked up high-profile sponsors like Amsoil, Doc Martens, No Fear, Samsung, Sobe, and eventually, Geico. Over its 20-year run, Factory Connection was home to riders like Mike LaRocco, Kevin Windham, Travis Preston, Jeremy Martin, Justin Bogle, Trey, Canard, Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, Josh Grant, and Jake Weimer.
