Steve Matthes from RacerX Illustrated was nice enough a few months ago to ask me to write some articles for his web site PulpMX.com. I being a huge fan of Steve’s work was more than happy to do so. This article was the first one I did for PulpMX.com. I decided it would be fun to go back though the last forty years or so of motocross gear ads and make a list of the best and worst. I would break them down into a list of the ten best and ten worst and publish them as separate articles. Steve would then go in and add his thoughts on my choices. I think it turned out very well and I enjoyed Steve’s comments and counterpoints even if he did call me blind at least once. Here is my list of the ten best gear ads in motocross.
